We’re blasting through the stretch goals! See the big announcement post for more. We’re almost there, guys!

    Original post follows:

The Kickstarter for the upcoming board game, Conan the Cimmerian: The Tower of the Elephant, is going well, with the first batch of stretch goals smashed – and there’s another 15 days to go for this one. That means that the backers can look forward to three additional scenarios for the game, as well as the core rulebook for the Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of role-playing game, and the Conan the Thief sourcebook for said role-playing game. A cross-over scenario for Conan the Boardgame has also been unlocked. There’s also an ebook version of the original Tower of the Elephant story by Robert E. Howard, which was the campaigns first social stretch goal.

Not bad, not bad at all – but why stop there? New stretch goals has been announced, and they’re good ones!

The next stretch goal is another digital scenario for the board game, at $27,500. As of writing, that’s a few hundred dollars off. After that is another scenario, this time for the Conan RPG, and it’s a brand new one based on The Tower of the Elephant. We’ll have a preview of The Wings of Yag scenario here on Conan.com soon, so let’s hope we’ll hit the $30,000 stretch goal.

Next in line is a card upgrade, giving the cards a linen finish ($32,500) which will make the game feel more luxurious. There’s also another social stretch goal, giving discount coupons to actually minted Conan-themed coins from Shire Post Mint. More on that later too – we’ll just have to hit another 200 followers across social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), bringing it up to a total of 400 new followers since launch.

Yes, I skipped one on purpose, and it’s the one you’ve been waiting for: At $35,000 we unlock the minis! This stretch goal replaces the standees for Taurus, the Spider, Yara, and – of course – Conan himself with plastic minis. We all know that we want that, so here’s hoping we’ll hit $35,000!
